Fulwood supplied materials, fabricated, non-destructive tested, stress relieved, painted, and assembled the 3000mm diameter x 3040mm long reverbatory furnace shell. The shell incorporated two dished ends and two tyre sections, also a number of access and tapping ports

Fitted to the shell was a pin wheel assembly which consisted of two angle sections incorporating a total of 156 pins designed to mesh with a gearwheel, the action of which revolves the shell about it's axis.
